Spring Break
The orphanage we are going to is called Colina De Luz. Which in english translates to hill of light. The orphanage is more like a compound if you would. It is gated and safe. On the inside it's one of the nicest places in Mexico. There is like 60 some kids and they have basketball courts, soccer field, and a huge playscape.
The guy that founded the orphanage is a man named Jim Drake. He made good money working in California then took all his money and made the orphanage.
After we work for 4 days at the orphanage we make our way back to San Diego and spend 1 or 2 nights in Humphrey's Half Moon Inn. By the sound of the name it seems like a dump but in fact it is the exact opposite. It is right down town and on a marina so we get a great view of the ocean. During one day we are there, me make our way to sea world. Last year they went to the zoo so this year we have to go to sea world. A funny story from last year (even though I didn't go), my friend Matt Gran split up with some of the group to grab some lunch, then they were going to meet at the polar bears. I guess the Polar bears are in the back of the park and the group ditched my friend so he ended up staying with a senior girl from my church for the rest of the day.

Fox Creek
1) It's very close to my house. It's a short drive away, but if i go to my friend Ryan's house with my clubs we could just walk because he lives across the street.
2)The price is good. When you go on a Junior day between some certain times you can play 9 holes for like 7 bucks or play 18 for 13$.
3) The holes are very different from eachother. The classic whole is number 7. It is about a 400 yard hole but if you play it a certain way it can be like a 300 yard hole. What is so unique about the hole is that it is a 90 degree dog leg to the right. If you take a 3 wood or 2 hybrid and hit it right over a couple of trees it leaves you with around a 90 yard shot into the green.
4) They have a restaraunt. The restraunt is called George Murphy's and it is definately one of my favorite places to go eat. My favorite thing their is the pizza. It is like the biggest most amazing pizza ever.
A funny story about there. My friends dad moved to livonia and decides to go play their. When he got to a certain whole he went through a gate that connects it to Whispering Willows. So he played whispering willows ( all 18 wholes) and he played all of fox creek, but he played willows on accident but it was still free golf.

PIstons
Allen Iverson ruins what the Pistons have had for the past 5 or so years. We had 5 role players that would do what they had to do in order to win ball games. Now they have Allen Iverson with a good supporting cast that he chooses to leave behind. Rip Hamilton went from 25 points a game to under 15 a game. Their record is around.500 all because of A.I.
Them making the playoffs is questionable but, in my opinion they will make it for sure. I mean they have been to 6 straight eastern conference finals. If they didn't make the playoffs then it would be a tragedy for all Piston fans.
Pete Dorr
He has a youtube account and he has a video for just about every single video game. I recently discovered his videos and noticed a couple of things. The first thing i noticed is that all of the videos are aroung ten minutes long. The second thing is that he doesn't have many views but the people that do watch his videos are all subscribers.
The video I watched recently is a tour of his room. I would have to say that it blew me away with how much video gaming stuff he has. The first thing I saw was the shelves and shelves of video games. Some in boxes some just lying around loose. Another thing i thought was pretty sick is the 3 or 4 store signs he has. Like the ones that light up and have the name of the console by them. I thought that they were pretty sweet.
Another feature of his room is the collectibles he has. The majority of them being sonic and mario because he is obsessed with them but there are a few other characters. In a corner of his room he has a five foot tall sonic stuffed animal. Personally I don't know who would make it and let alone have somebody buy it but, it's still pretty sweet.

Best Xbox 360 Games

Gears of War (Series)
Right when you here the name Gears of War you should think to things. For sure you should think intensity. I seriously can't think of any game that is more intense than Gears of War or Gears of War 2. 2 being more intense pretty much to the level where it makes you pee your pants.
The second thing that you should think would be graphics. Gears brings a whole new level of high quality graphics. You pretty much feel like you're right in their on the battle field with your team.
The third think I like about Gears is the campaign mode. You can spend countless hours playing this and never get bored. A good feature about it is the check points. Just about every time you slaughter a group of locusts it saves. You never end up losing any data.
The last to know about Gears is the xbox live. The gears of war series brings up a whole new generation of xbox live. The interface is insane and online is super addictive. Gears of war is a great game.
Rivalries

Friday, January 30, 2009
1)First off we have Dwight Howard, who is my choice. He is listed at six feet eleven inches and is 270 pounds of pure muscle. He is the icon of Orlando and the center of the Magic team. Right now he leagues the league in rebounds with 13.9 a game. The magic is arguably one of the best teams in the east and Dwight is key to that. He's also averaging twenty points a game and almost 4 blocks.
2)Next in line is the highly expected LeBron James. He was drafted straight out of highschool and since day one he has shown that he can play ball. Right now he is near the top of the league in scoring averaging over 27 points a game. He is the center of attention right now because the Cavaliers have the best record in the N.B.A. While playing alongside Mo Williams, his assist numbers have gotten higher.
3)Third is Dywane Wade of the Miami Heat. Coming off of a season ending injury from early last season he has proven that he is healthy and ready to lead the heat to the playoffs. He leads the league in points with 28.5. Without Shaq he has to step up and lead the team, he has proven himself. Without much support the team is relying on him to be the big playmaker. He's averaging 7 assist a game but that still won't be enough to put the heat back on top.
4)Last in the lineup is the one, the only Kobe Bryant. The Lakers started of the season hot with only a few losses in their first 30 and Kobe was stroking it. Right now he is third in the league in scoring only behind Dywane Wade and Lebron James. With a full year of Pau Gasol on his team the lakers have another chance to reach the finals and to give Kobe another ring.
